About the Author

John Bierce is a fantasy novelist, history and science buff, SFF fan, and general all-around dork. He’s lived in Vietnam since 2020, but who knows where he’ll be by the time you’re reading this. (John does. John knows. John isn’t telling. Insert maniacal laughter here.)

By the time he’s old, he wants to have spent at least a year of his life having lain in hammocks. (John’s got other life and career goals too, but the hammock bit is the important one.)

John will post various book news and random announcements on an irregular schedule on his blog, as well as random topics that attract his interest.

“There’s no question that The Lost City of Ithos is the best entry yet in the Mage Errant series. The series as a whole has many strengths ⏤ its likeable characters, increasingly epic and frantic, creative mage battles, inspired world-building, and a flair for combining real-world science and philosophy into a creative and fascinating magic system.”
