I lied to you all. I claimed that I was done for the day, but then ate some food, napped, and acquired caffeine, and then put in another…seven hours of editing and writing? Eight?
I was really just doing some tinkering before emailing the manuscript out for some good old fashioned attention from my editor, but no, I decided that I needed new scenes. Now the book’s even longer.
Anyhow, my brain is actually wrecked now ⏤ I’m fairly sure I’ve put in more writing-related work hours today than any other day in my life, and I need to sleep and not think about anything more strenuous than sleep for several days. Did I mention that I’ve been awake for over twenty hours, excluding my twenty-minute nap?
I get a little manic at the very end of the process of getting the book ready to send off for editing. The same thing basically happened for Book 2.
Oh, yeah, and I wasn’t lying about the audiobook. That’s still coming out on August 20th, and it’s still being narrated by Ralph Lister, which is still ridiculously awesome.
